September 13, 2023 (JUBA) – South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir is in Uganda for bilateral talks with his Ugandan counterpart, Yoweri Museveni Kaguta. The two leaders, Kiir’s office said Thursday, will discuss regional peace and security. “The two leaders will also discuss regional peace and security, particularly the crisis in Sudan and the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo,” it added. South Sudan’s presidential Affairs minister, Barnaba Marial Benjamin said the two principles will also explore the peace deal that ended the civil war in South Sudan.
